IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has no plans to layoff employees, The Economic Times reports, quoting company CHRO Milind Lakkad. The firm is, in fact, looking to hire those laid off from startups, he says. The hiring will be focused on areas such as user experience design, artificial intelligence, and product experience, among others. Lakkad says TCS will offer employees hikes similar to previous years. The report further adds that the company may also hire folks of Indian diaspora in the US who have been laid off.
TCS, part of the Tata Group, isnβt considering firing any employees. Instead, TCS is looking to onboard startup talent which comes as good news for many such people who have recently lost their jobs.
Despite the global firing spree among major companies, TCS is not considering any layoffs and will announces hikes similar to previous years.
TCS chief Human Resources officer Milind Lakkad has said that the company believes in grooming talent for longer careers once it recruits a new employee.
